PROJECT

   Newly recruited in a loose union of mercenary explorers; the Wind Diggers, our hero has been hired for an unusual contract. He arrives at the target location: an abandoned Windrose outpost built on the edge of an ancient pre-Wind city. What dangers lurk in the ruins, and what secrets will he uncover here?

 

   Wind Digger was created for a final Game Design program project by Dream Grenade Games founders Jordan Funk & Jean-Luc St-Pierre. This game was developed over a span of roughly six months from original concept to completion.

 

   While it is unknown if production will continue on this project in the future, the short fifteen - twenty minute demo has been made public.

LEVEL DESIGN

- Implemented and tested level assets and textures as they were delivered by the artist

- Constructed all levels using the 3D assets and textures provided by the artist, as well as the sprites and animations

- Created all particle effects and other visual effects/shaders 

- Designed and implemented all menu and game UI assets 

- Designed and implemented third level 

- Thoroughly tested and implemented solutions to the levels to ensure that the player experience was the best it could be

PROGRAMMING (VIEW TDD)

- Created a detailed Technical Design Document prior to production and maintained it throughout the project

- Scripted all game mechanics, functionality and game logic according to the details laid out in the GDD & TDD

- Thoroughly tested and fixed bugs during development

PIXEL ART 

- Created the player and enemy sprites and all animations

- Created all pixel art UI assets 

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

- Managed the projects repository on GitHub

SOCIAL MEDIA

- Created the trailer for the game using OBS Studio to capture the footage, and edited the video with DaVinci Resolve.
